DJ_ioglyphics presents..... The Freemind's Lounge @ PodOmatic.com
The Freemind's Lounge is a virtual lounge for those who find something very wrong with radio. It allows those who seek to unplug or free themselves from the question that tortures us like a splinter in our minds. What is "The Mainstream", and is it what we are to perceive as "REAL"? Does it make since that on all mainstream radio stations (no matter the genre or format) there are only 35-40 songs in rotation everyday. while at the same time there 1000's of artist? Who determines that these are the best of what is to offer in music today or any era for that matter? Where can we go to find this music without having to dig or purchase music we find we don't like? The Freemind's Lounge is that place. The lounge is in it's infancy and I hope to build a community of like minded souls to commune where there is always something different, and your thoughts and contributions are shared. The format is simple here at The Freemind's Lounge... Progressive, Original, Creative, Nostalgic, Uplifting, and Informative. The premise is that, what is "The Mainstream" is an artificial reality given to us in order to keep you ignorant. With Hip-Hop "The Mainstream" makes you ignorant to that which is REAL, as it appeases you with materialism and hatred for others dealing with the same day to day strife. It advocates the distribution of false testimony by those MC's and other Artist who would lie for credibility in a community the know or care nothing about. The philosophy at The Freemind's Lounge is also simple... Hip-Hop is an Art, and through it we can free and elevate minds by teaching this Truth and providing examples to those who seek the answer to the question... What is Real?
As a seeker of truth, and a music lover I started this podcast. My mission is to broadcast what I believe is real and reaches out to like minded or "free minded" people who believe that what is "main stream" or "popular" is not what is real. I want to reach out to those who agree or disagree that what is appealing to the masses is often mindless and simply not true. In fact what is broadcast to the masses is often there to blind you to what is real. I want to broadcast to you what is overlooked and discuss how what is main stream is all part of a system. This system is in place to control you and keep you focused on what will keep you dependent upon it. This system tells you that you are in fact "keeping it real" when in reality you are empowering a media machine created for profit alone and tells you that it is "entertainment". In order to maximize profit and limit or destroy creative thinking and peace, this system feeds you negativity, stereotypes, glorifies materialism and enslave disadvantaged and undereducated youth. I want to show you the truth, and expose this system for what it is. It is a machine created by few, to keep masses giving it what it needs, "profit", so that you can stay blind, and ignorant, instead of insightful and informed. Join me in my quest for knowledge, peace and the power we need to destroy this system or change it so it works for the good of all. There are few places for free minds, so welcome to "The Freemind's Lounge". Catch my broadcast from the "Real World" of Underground and Independent Hip-Hop, and Philosophical thought. Let this be a place for Free Minds to commune and discuss this "Matrix" and the Paradox of what is real, be it Hip-Hop or life and the world around us as we see it. As we all fight this system every day, this machine, let us "Jack In" and find others like ourselves that speak out against it, and free minds all over the world.
If you are an artist that feels he or she has something they would like to contribute to my podcast, and the "real world" of underground/independent Hip-Hop art and culture, please contact me here at Vox, or at promos@ioglyphics.com. I will be posting a new podcast weekly(or as time permits), and would like to feature someone on every show. I plan to make the show 90 minutes long to get in plenty of good music and interesting topics and artist to discuss. I have posted 4 shows so far and and in less than one month I have nearly 60 subscribers. Yes we are already freeing minds across from the main stream. If anyone is in the Maryland, D.C. or Norther Virginia area and would like to appear on the podcast in person, please contact me. If you are anywhere in the world and would like to do an interview over the phone or send a video mail for the show to me, please contact me.
